Scandal star Kerry Washington has decided to show off her natural hair in stunning new photos for Allure.
The pictures made a lot of noises online because they conveyed a message that not everyone is ready to embrace.

With this photo shoot, Washington is asking people to embrace their natural self. Part of this means promoting natural hair as something to be proud of.
One person, who is happy with the direction she took, shared: “Yall commenting about edge control obviously missed the creative direction & vision for this shoot. And the reason y’all wishing for edges like hers is because she is not smothering her edge in an alcohol-based product.”
